Privacy Policy

How BeScan collects, uses and protects information when you use the app.

CG Apps Dev ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BeScan mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By downloading or using BeScan, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information Collection

BeScan is designed to work primarily on your device. The App does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers to use its core scanning and PDF features.

  • Documents, images, scans, and PDFs you create in the App are processed and stored locally on your device.
  • BeScan does not upload your scanned documents, images, or generated PDFs to any remote server.
  • Limited technical and usage data (such as app crashes, performance diagnostics, and advertising identifiers) may be collected automatically through third-party services described below, to help us maintain app stability and support advertising.

2. Permissions

BeScan requests certain Android permissions solely to provide its core functionality. No permission is used to collect data for any purpose beyond the feature it supports.

Camera Permission

Used to capture photos of documents for scanning, OCR, and image-to-PDF conversion. Images captured through the camera are processed on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Storage Permission

Used to save scanned documents and generated PDF files to your device, and to let you import existing images or PDFs into tools such as merge, split, compress, and watermark. Files you choose to access remain under your control at all times.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

BeScan is a free application supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data, such as advertising identifiers and device information, to display relevant ads and measure ad performance. This data collection is governed by Google's own privacy and advertising policies.

  • You can review how Google collects and processes data through its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Where available on your device, you may reset or limit your advertising identifier in your Android system settings.
  • AdMob does not have access to the content of your scanned documents or PDFs.

4. Data Security

Because your documents are processed and stored locally, the security of that content depends primarily on your own device security (such as screen lock and device encryption). We take reasonable technical measures within the App to prevent unintended data exposure, but no method of electronic storage is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

5. Children's Privacy

BeScan is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of BeScan after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
